The arts and culture community in Richmond has something for everyone. In fact, Richmond is home to the San Francisco Bay Area’s longest established art center—Richmond Art Center, which inspires active engagement in the visual arts through exhibitions, education, and in-school programs. Also located in Richmond is the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts. The East Bay Center has received national recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts and the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities for the excellence of its programs and its contributions to the arts and the community.
